Unusual leather pouch with drawstring top and Roman warrior and horse print along the bottom, circa 1930s- 1940s and likely Egyptian.
supple leather body with teal zig- zag weave detail, woven pattering on the bottom panel as well.
Darker green piping along the bottom, side seams, and the top edge of the printed leather section- which is actually six small pockets.
Obviously handmade, unlined leather- probably camel.
There is a cardboard panel on the interior bottom which was a later addition- the bag holds its shape without. Some edge wear, patina darkening, some losses to the piping along the outer pocket edges. Signs of wear and use, but this presents very well and is a rather rare piece. Stunning!
